Midwest Living highlighted Lake Charlevoix as one of the region's best.
"Just east of Lake Michigan, inland Lake Charlevoix offers an idyllic getaway with Boyne City as its artsy, laid-back anchor," she wrote, highlighting creative culture more than water quality. "Local gallery Freshwater Studio holds concert nights and a summer festival to promote the fledgling SoBo arts district."
