The Four Mile Road corridor was due for a makeover before the 238-acre Orchard Park retail development was approved on Walker's northwest side.
Traffic on the primarily two-lane road between Fruit Ridge and Alpine avenues is expected to rocket from 11,000 to 17,000 vehicles daily in the next 20 years, said Christopher Dingman, Grand Valley Metro Council senior transportation planner.
