Aquinas College's Center for Sustainability continues to grow programs, commitment

The first undergraduate study program in sustainable business continues its commitment to sustainable business initiatives with the development of new education opportunities for employers and employees.

According to excerpts from the story:

Their commitment to the environment at Aquinas College extends far beyond the framework of their Center for Sustainability, which was launched in 2005. The first undergraduate study program of its kind in sustainable business actually began at Aquinas two years earlier, in 2003.

Current programming at the Center includes academic business degree programs and professional development certificate programs. Students, faculty and staff seem genuinely committed to making a difference, often working in teams to facilitate sustainability initiatives internally and externally through community outreach.

"The Sustainable Business Professional Certificate programs are geared for sustainable businesses," says Jessica Eimer, Program Director for the Center for Sustainability at Aquinas College. "These programs are geared toward individuals who are most likely already working in some sort of sustainable field and are looking for the tools to improve the triple bottom line of their business. This can include everybody from an operations director, to marketing folks who are trying to learn some of the lingo, to artists and consultants, either a traditional consulting firm or even sustainability consulting firms that want gain a more well-rounded knowledge of the business."
