According to The Grand Rapids Press, ArtPrize will be holding an informational meeting tonight, June 24, for residents interested in hosting out-of-town contestants during this fall's art competition.
The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Byrneboehm Gallery, 959 Lake Drive SE. Last year, 85 local residents offered to open their homes to artists, but only 48 contestants took advantage of the opportunity.

So far this year, 24 artists from as far away as England and Taiwan have asked for a home stay, and 29 local residents have signed up to host a visitor during this fall's second ArtPrize competition.
