Developer's plan for Grand Rapids bicycle factory ready to rise from the ashes

Using bricks salvaged from the original 1892 building that burned down last winter, a Grand Rapids developer plans to rejuvenate a west side Brownfield redevelopment site that once held the former Grand Rapids Bicycle Company factory building. 

According to excerpts from the story:

Just the right mix is needed for the design of the new Bicycle Factory development on Butterworth Avenue SW in Grand Rapids.

Since it will likely be a catalyst project for the now forlorn industrial neighborhood on the west side of the Grand River near the city’s downtown district, it’s important to get it right, according to McGraw Construction President Paul McGraw, who is developing the project with other real estate business people.
