Holland architectural firm promotes sustainable design

According to excerpts from the story:

Jennifer Malinowski, program manager at the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) and Stephen Hamstra, executive vice president at GMB Architecture & Engineering in Holland, concur that these measures help continue the drive for sustainable design and other "green" initiatives.

GMB Architecture, a 30-year old company with 14 LEED accredited professionals in every discipline, works with clients on the Enterprise-based design system. This process discovers how a facility impacts a client’s success. "Schools educate, manufacturers manufacture," Hamstra said, explaining that buildings must be designed around an intended purpose. GMB integrates sustainable design measures as long as clients are open to the idea.
