A groundbreaking new effort to produce green energy will also help one West Michigan dairy farmer resolve a growing animal waste problem. The technology of the $2.7 million project will be available to farmers across the state.
According to excerpts from the story:
Construction is almost complete on an innovative waste-to-energy plant at a Ravenna Township dairy farm that will turn manure into energy and into bedding material for the cows.

Cow manure will be used to produce electricity and hot water.
