Light Corporation is a recipient of $30,000 in grant money to pay for skills upgrades of 95 employees and 15 new hires. The money is part of some $156,000 in awarded to manufacturers in lower Michigan.

Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm today announced $155,407 in Economic Development Job Training grants is being made available to upgrade the skills of 360 workers, including 55 new hires, employed by four companies in Hillsdale, Macomb, Ottawa and Washtenaw counties. The grants are provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. (MEDC).
