Tommy Allen, the creative, high-energy and funny lifestyle editor for Rapid Growth, was recently profiled in a Sunday edition of The Grand Rapids Press, a tough assignment given that Allen barely stands still long enough to be found with the spotlight of celebrity.
Prompted by the probing and equally creative writer Terri Finch Hamilton, the 46-year-old columnist shares with readers stories about his life, including his days as a youngster growing up in Flint to his days at Grand Rapids Baptist College to his current life as sales and marketing director at Levitation Staging, Inc.
According to excerpts from the story:
Ask Tommy Allen for his job title, and he’s stumped.
“I’m a creative person who does creative things,” he finally says.
That’s what you tell people when they ask?
“I don’t know,” he says, in mock frustration. “You tell me. If you can give me a title in five words, I’ll bake you some cookies.”
