The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts may be signing a purchase agreement in the next two weeks for their anchor position in the new Gallery on Fulton at Fulton and Division Streets. Two theaters, improved gallery space, and studio space are on the burners.
According to excerpts from the story:
A deal to build a new home for the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts is expected to be closed by the end of the month, clearing the way for developing an empty lot near a busy downtown corner.
The $4.5 million home for the UICA would anchor the $35 million Gallery on Fulton at the southwestern corner of Division Avenue and Fulton Street.
UICA's new home is slated to feature two movie screens, enhanced galleries and studio space and additional meeting and office areas.
