MUSKEGON — Good attendance at the recent Alternative Energy Financing and Grid Connection Workshop hosted by Muskegon Area First showed there is a strong interest in the topic by area business people.
Ed Garner, president and CEO of Muskegon Area First, said the workshop at the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center (MAREC) was primarily held to expose companies to some financing opportunities for alternative energy and energy conservation projects.
"A lot of this calls for reinvestment in tooling and some companies are looking to solve their own energy needs or to supplement their own energy needs," Garner told MiBiz.
