As more and more families need both parents to work in order to stay afloat, daycare facilities are a business that is growing and becoming more common.
One daycare in particular, Apple Tree Learning Center, received approval of their site plan to construct an 11,400 square foot facility at 2142 Three Mile Road near the intersection at Walker Avenue.
According to Apple Tree representative Ken Watkins, the facility is on the cutting edge of daycare trends. Walls are built only a few feet high with glass to the ceiling so adults can see into every room a child is in. Also, live streaming web cameras are positioned in every room so, at any time during the day, parents can watch their child on the Internet.
