Young entrepreneur returns from New York to found local produce market

After finding job prospects scarce in New York City a young entrepreneur has returned to West Michigan and opened a new market specializing in local produce. Patrons say knowing the goods come from local sources keeps them coming back for more.

According to excerpts from the story:

Just six months ago, Andrew Milauckas was working in New York City as an intern for an advertising firm, living the big-city life he'd always imagined. Now, he's back in his hometown of Saugatuck, where he's opened a small produce store after being stifled by a limited urban job market.

Andrew Milauckas only sells locally grown produce at The Summertime Market. The Summertime Market, located on the Blue Star Highway just south of the Kalamazoo Lake bridge, opened in June and has been successful so far, he said. But it's not exactly what the 22-year-old imagined after he graduated with an advertising degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.

"There was the potential to come back to this area and work in Grand Rapids. And I thought of working in Chicago," he said. "But coming back to Saugatuck to open a business? No."
