$10.5M Whitehall budget includes arts and redevelopment

There are a lot of new things going on in the waterside city of Whitehall and the city’s new budget aims to keep it that way. Redevelopment of a contaminated site, maintenance of a city-owned theater, and a possible water filtration plant are in the mix.

Redevelopment of the tannery site, continuation of a summer theater program and preliminary study for a proposed water filtration plant are among the highlights in Whitehall's 2007-08 budget.

The $10.5 million budget was approved Tuesday night by city council.
