A proposed development project for downtown Grand Rapids goes beyond anything the city skyline has seen yet: a complex composed of residential condominiums, office, and retail space, all attractively arranged to screen a multi-level city parking ramp that would provide easy access to shopping, work, and living spaces.

One of the newer property developers in Grand Rapids, Kelwin Properties President Andy Winkel, has no doubts – at least voiced publicly — that his latest, greatest and largest project to date will be a success.
Winkel wants to develop a $25 million project that would include a new parking ramp and two mixed-use buildings that would offer retail, residential and office condominium space in the Heartside District.
He believes that Grand Rapids’ condo-appetite is far from satisfied.
