Clinton energizes econ club

In an engaging speech to the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, former President Clinton said the agressive pursuit of energy innovation could solve a number of America's - and Michigan's - economic, social, and environmental challenges. He left the room to a standing ovation.

A record audience of more than 2,100 people packed into DeVos Place in Grand Rapids Monday night to listen to President Clinton address the Economic Club.

Clinton spoke about the ups and downs of what he calls global interdependence, as he termed it, along with the danger of international terrorism and problems within the country that need attention.
