Poll shows business leaders point to the economy as their biggest concern

A survey of more than 600 area business leaders show that the state's economic climate is their top concern followed closely by the nation's economic climate. Not far behind was the management of the state's budget.

In the survey conducted by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, about two-thirds of the respondents say the Chamber's top priority should be tourism and development.

According to excerpts of the story:

"Ultimately, we need to reduce the cost of doing business in this state," Chamber president Jeanne Englehart said. "This year must be the death of the status quo in how Michigan does business."
