Museum is again hosting the annual Festival of the

According to excerpts from the story:
The Festival 2006 Regional Arts Exhibition hanging at the Grand
Rapids Art Museum
through Festival weekend is a smaller show than last year, despite a slightly
larger field of entries. However, the quality of the work and sense of
adventure has remained steady.
About 268 artists submitted 492 works (up from 482 in 2005)
for the annual competition, which is in its 37th year. Juror Richard Stein, a
local arts educator and artist selected 169 of those pieces by 115 artists, a
12 percent drop from the 192 works by 152 artists on display last year.
