Loutit District Library officials are holding two public meetings to share information about a proposed renovation and expansion project, along with a bond issue proposal which will appear on the May 8 ballot.
If approved, the library would levy an additional property tax millage rate of 0.08 mill this year.
The proposal would see the current library at 407 Columbus Ave. renovated, and new construction built over the existing parking lot along Fulton Avenue.
