A new Holland trucking company is making in-roads on making that industry more environmentally sustainable. But considering fuel consumption and emissions, how is that possible?

Sustainability should be profitable. After all, that is one of the legs of the Triple Bottom Line. One of the newest trucking companies in West Michigan seems to be proving that sustainability is profitable.
Mike Dargis and Jim Hulst started Green Transportation Inc. in October 2006 as an affiliated company of Zip Express Inc.
The first complete month of operations, Green Transportation made a nice profit, according to Hulst.
"We don’t have all the data yet, but we are confident that it is working," he told MiBiz.
Green Transportation is based on the principles of sustainability and because of that, focuses on convincing manufacturers that they should consolidate their loads in trailers with other companies rather than paying for and shipping LTL (less than truckload).
