Two West Michigan developers are moving ahead with plans to turn six acres on 28th Street into office space that will be marketed as a prime location for companies from other parts of the state to set up corporate headquarters. The appeal? The land sits at a crossroads of highways, business corridors, and the Gerald R. Ford airport.
According to excerpts from the story:
Rockford Development Group and Hinman Co. have formed a joint venture to build on the last remaining parcel at Glenwood Hills Office Park on 28th Street in Grand Rapids.
The Rockford-based developer partnered for the first time with the Kalamazoo-based development, management and commercial real estate company to create up to a 150,000-square-foot office building at the site, which Rockford owns. Hinman will list and manage the property.
Rockford Development Group acquired the office park in 2004 when it moved then-tenant Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan downtown into the Steketee Building.
