Grand Rapids Community College President Juan Olivarez passed
his annual review with flying colors. The GRCC Board praised Olivarez’s efforts
to raise funding and diversify the campus workforce.

Grand Rapids Community College President Juan Olivarez
received rave reviews for the sixth year in a row during his annual evaluation
Monday.
Olivarez was cited by the Board of Trustees for a media
awareness campaign for the college's foundation, which has raised $4.2 million
toward a $10 million goal, and for doubling the number of minority faculty
hired between the 2004-05 school year and the current year, among other
accomplishments.
