Holland Hospital completes $47M makeover

Holland Hospital’s current renovation includes the addition of private rooms for patients and high-tech equipment such as a telemonitoring device that allows caregivers to monitor homebound patients from the hospital.

According to excerpts from the story:

Holland Hospital is in the final stages of a $47 million three-year renovation and expansion project set for completion in time for a public open house Sept. 8. Workers are wrapping up the last piece of the project, a 60,000-square-foot hospital addition, according to Mike Parker, director of support services and facility development for Holland Hospital.

“We are expanding and modifying our nursery area to make it a level-two nursery so we’ll be able to care for newborns as young as 32 weeks old,” said Holland Hospital Public Relations Coordinator Tim Breed.
Holland Hospital now has to transfer babies less than 36 weeks old to DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
