The Avenue for the Arts Street Market is a combination flea market, arts festival and sidewalk sale that will showcase emerging local artists and the budding business district along Division Avenue between Weston and Cherry streets. The event runs 5-9 p.m. Saturday. Music stores, art galleries and other commercial venues will stay open late while independent vendors will set up shop on the sidewalks and in a parking lot.
Organizers invite anyone with items they might sell in a garage sale or on eBay to rent a booth and sell them at the market instead. No pre-registration is necessary -- just show up with your table, tarp or tent and $15, and you're in business.
