Artists rally for catholic schools

Excerpts from the story:

"There will be works from a 1940s graduate to some as recent as two years ago," said Richard App, Catholic Central class of '87 and owner of Imagerie Gallery. "That's a 60-year window, which is exciting."

The centerpiece is a 60-pound sculpture that was not made by an alumnus but has a Catholic connection. Jubilee Angel is a limited-edition bronze statue donated by an Oregon studio and reproduced from the original, which is at the Vatican. It will be sold through a silent auction that ends April 28.
