According to excerpts from the story:
"Come On Over!" a half-hour children's show under production in Holland, will debut in September on WOTV (cable Channel 4). "We're actually doing this. We're making a TV show," said Holland native Joel Schoon Tanis, the show's co-creator and on-camera star.
The venture is a unique collaboration between Tanis, a painter and a children's entertainer, and the Grand Rapids Children's Museum -- bankrolled to the tune of nearly $1.5 million -- and backed by an Emmy Award-winning team of children's television veterans.
"Come On Over!" hopes to foster problem solving and creative play among children ages 5 to 9 while entertaining kids and parents alike with a cast of regular characters, original songs, animated sequences and imaginary breaks in the storyline.
