Grand Haven considers overhauling public safety building

According to excerpts from the story:

When Grand Haven's public safety building was constructed in 1975, it was designed for separate police and fire departments. The city merged the two divisions into a Department of Public Safety in 1993, but the building was never reconfigured to accommodate the combined entity.

With the help of a Holland architectural firm, city officials are now looking at a complete redesign of the building.

Brian Butkis of GMB Architects introduced a space needs study done for the building to Grand Haven City Council at its Monday night meeting.
