Local manufacturer seeks Ren Zone extension

Autodie International's new owners are asking for help from City Hall to keep the state's largest tool-and-die shop going.

MBtech Group is asking the city to approve a tax-free Renaissance Zone for seven years at the facility it bought last week.

The proposition will cost the city about $150,000 in income and property tax revenues, according to Susan Shannon, the city's Economic Development Director.
