American Seating replaces 12,000 damaged seats in Superdome

After Hurricane Katrina swamped New Orleans, thousands of residents of the beleaguered city took shelter in the Louisiana Superdome.

The 70,000 seats in the stadium, home of the NFL's New Orleans Saints, were used as beds after the August 2006 storm and the Superdome became a symbol of the city's suffering and government ineptitude.

On Monday night, they came back. This time, it was to watch the return of the Saints.

And Grand Rapids-based American Seating Co. helped make it happen.
