UICA considers move closer to downtown arts scene

According to excerpts from the story:

The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts is studying a move into a new building planned on the site of the old City Centre parking ramp at the southwestern corner of South Division Avenue and Fulton Street.

"Given the proximity to the art museums and other cultural institutions -- even the Meijer Gardens, what an opportunity to create a really strong magnet for cultural tourism," said Jeff Meeuwsen, Urban Institute executive director.

How the Urban Institute would pay for such a move remains the major question.
