Wells Fargo increases its McKay Tower office space by 65%

Each of Wells Fargo Bank's business groups is expanding as the floor plan of its downtown Grand Rapids office in McKay Towers grows.

Wells Fargo currently uses 5,500 square feet of office space on the 10th floor. The bank is going to occupy about 8,400 square feet on the 10th floor of McKay Tower when the expansion is completed.

The bank already has 75-80 people working in nine departments in West Michigan, and Wells Fargo Regional Vice President Donald L. VanDine expects to add several more departments in the coming year.

"We now have established and profitable departments. The next stage is to expand the groups and broaden our footprint in the community," he said.
