RGTV: Robinette's Apple Haus
By: Andy Dragt
October 16, 2008
Autumn in Grand Rapids means a trip to
Robinette's Apple Haus
, a family-operated landmark since 1911. One of the last remaining farm holdouts in a commercial corridor increasingly being developed for big box shopping centers, Robinette's today is as much a tourist attraction as a working orchard. Resident vlogger Andy Dragt explores the cultural significance of hayrides, apple cider, donuts and, in a recent development, hard cider, mead and some award-winning wines.
Andy Dragt is a freelance digital storyteller who lives in the Uptown. In a former life, he studied and worked as a construction manager. He is Rapid Growth's resident vlogger. His life is broadcast to the interwebs
here
and at
