On Friday, you have one last chance to catch the local-focused outdoor concert series, Bands at Blandford.
Held at the Blandford Nature Center’s farm, this annual outdoor music series has featured numerous local music acts. But the 2018 series ends on September 14, so your time to experience live music in such a unique setting is coming to a close this weekend.
For the last concert of the series, Bands at Blandford welcomes the WYCE 88.1 FM Jammie Awards XIX Special Jury Prize winners, Hollywood Makeout.
The band formed in 2012 with Tim Broderick (drums), Cedric Canero (guitar), Tim Warren (guitar), and Erin Lenau (guitar and vocals). They present a sound fully embracing the power of energetic guitars and banging drums, ushering in an instrumental sound and strong vocals that contour up reflections of surf music with a twist of ‘80s LA New Wave vocals.
Make a night of the occasion by packing a picnic dinner, a blanket, and (of course) your friends. The Center will be selling beer and pop on site, too.
