Eat, Drink, and Be Merry: The Best of the Rest

Friday, April 26, 6:00 p.m.
One thing I have learned about people in West Michigan is that they love a great bargain. So get your calendar out because on Friday night, you will not only have a chance to sample some of the best beers from this region and around the world, but also some amazing wine at the annual St. Cecilia's Music Center's Eat, Drink, and Be Merry  fundraising event.

And unlike other events where tokens are handed out to limit one's choices, this event is truly about letting your creative bliss run free for one wild night. Your palette will be devoted to pure pleasure at one low price of $35 per person.

If you have never been upstairs at Martha's Vineyard in Heritage Hill to see their offering of high-end and very hard to come by bottles of wine, then consider this the ultimate wine insider tip tailored just for you.

At the SCMC event, you will have a chance to sample any one of the $100+ vintages that will be freely flowing all night long. Access to this many bottles of this caliber is alone worth the price of admission.

As you sample your favorite beer or wine, you will have a chance to bid on an exciting array of the silent auction items while noshing on the hearty and homemade hors d’oeuvres from Catering by Martha's and Nantucket Baking Company. Even the music will reflect the refreshingly posh programming featured at SCMC with the sounds of the Charlie Royce Jazz Combo filling the ballroom.

And if name dropping matters to you, here are just a few of the many international award-winning brands that will be making an appearance at this annual event: Nickel & Nickel, Bell's Brewing Co., Grgich Hills, Brewery Vivant, Darioush, Chalk Hill, Founders Brewing, Saddleback Cellars, Short's Brewing Co, Lagunitas Brewing Co., E. Guigal, Greenbush, Cuvee Du Vatican, Chimay, Waugh Cellars, Samuel Smith's Brewing, Marimar Estates, Beu Vigne, Schramberg, Merryvale, New Belgium Brewing Co., Pio Cesare, White Cottage, and many, many more.

Admission: $35.
