Night of Illusions: Ain't Necessarily So (G-Sync Recommended)

Wednesday, Oct. 31, 6:30 p.m.
Some straight people may be afraid to venture down to one of the area gay bars for a drag show, but I can also say that, as one who has been to many gay bars to see a drag show over the years, it's not just fear that keeps them away, but sometimes the lack of the real show to match the amount of time placed into creating the illusion of the performer.

MP Talent, a local talent agency that specializes in Michigan talent and speakers, will host a very special Halloween-themed drag production. "A Night of Illusions," at the San Chez performance space, offers guests a chance to whoop it up in an edge of your seat production after a stellar meal from one of the city’s absolute best restaurants.

Not only will attendees get to see all the flash and pop of a real glitz-driven show, but with Sarah Jean Anderson on the mic as the emcee for the night, we can expect an incredible night from the city’s best drag queens in a special Halloween production. The a group of judges includes Revue Magazine’s Lindsay Patton-Carson, Rapid Growth’s Tommy Allen, and “The Queens," meaning you can expect to encounter a host of opinions more searing than Simon Cowel’s chin line.

The crowd can get in on the contest tonight as guests are encouraged to join in the fun by competing for best costume and a chance to win over $650 worth of prizes.

The admission price includes dinner and a drag show, but not a sign of their candy. So bring your appetite for great tapas along with your desire for tiaras.
