Salt of the Earth Music Festival: New House Beginnings

Sunday, Jan. 11 through March 15, 2015
The new season of Salt of the Earth concert series has just been released and already the shows are selling briskly.

It is not hard to see why this series, filled with nine acts over ten weeks (no Super Bowl Sunday concert on 2/1), is a big draw when names like bluegrass' Cabbage Crik & Ruth & Max (1/11), Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys 'eclectic Americana' (1/18), and local singer-songwriters J. Oscar Bittinger, Ralston Bowles, Michael Crittenden, and Josh Rose (all 1/25) plan to take to this tiny town's stage.

Fennville may seem like a long way for many in the winter but those in the city who are craving open fields and plenty of fresh air after being cooped up will enjoy a trip to downtown Fennville to not just sample one of the region's best restaurants but to see live music in such an intimate setting. If you are into wine, check out a few of their exclusive vintages only available locally to the restaurant.

It is a rare treat that such wonderful music and such excellent food pair this magically. And yet, this magic is exactly what one receives from any of the Salt of the Earth's special events.

Admission: Varies. See website for tickets and details.
