Now that crews are finally demolishing sections of the factory to clear the site — a project that started earlier this year — any future redevelopment plans could have an easier path to success, sources said, especially given a much improved credit climate.
“It’s going to take a special person to develop it,” said Joy Gaasch, president of the Chamber of Commerce for Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg.
