Metro Grand Rapids leaders at Texas conference to attract wind energy development

As reported by WZZM-TV, a group of West Michigan business leaders are at the largest wind conference in the world this week in Texas in an attempt to convince developers to bring wind energy jobs to the Grand Rapids area. The American Wind Energy Association Conference in Dallas drew more than 1,300 exhibitors.

According to excerpts from the story:

"We have some of the best wind in the country along our lakes," says Birgit Klohs, president and CEO of The Right Place. "Particularly Lake Michigan and Saginaw Bay."  Klohs wants Michigan to take advantage of its wind potential to create jobs.
