These past few weeks I have been engaging in heavy Bi-City activity, which has given me the chance to look at our state’s other big city up close.
One thing that Detroit has done very well is maintaining a sense of city brand with clothiers, music and even festivals celebrating the D.
But the comparison has also given me a sense of pride about how well we are hitting our G spot with unique events developed and produced in this region that attract people from all around the state.
This week is filled with examples of what we celebrate in the G -- from the return of the Fulton Street ARTisans Market to the “why don’t we do it in the road” fun of the 6th Annual Local First Street Party.
We even have the debut of a new event where people who are interested in being a part of the change can come out and get connected while having a pint. Rapid Growth even has a new look as well. Our Grand brand is rising!
So this week, now more than ever, Choose local.…and often.
