Commitment to speed driving growth for Elevator Up

With their 2011 move to a new city in the rear view mirror, web development firm Elevator Up is focusing on their ability to help their clients quickly test and implement new ideas.

According to Aaron Schaap, Elevator Up founder, the sweet spot for his firm's success is the ability to help organizations speed up the process of launching new initiatives. "Elevator Up helps small businesses that want to grow and large businesses that want to act like startups," Schaap says.

Schaap says their focus on customer collaboration and agile processes have contributed to their recent growth spurt. "We can launch things very fast, which helps many organizations get around bureaucracies and politics."

Direct evidence of Elevator Up's growth is the addition of several new jobs. Schaap says his firm has added three positions recently, including a front-end developer, a Ruby developer, and an expert in analytics and search engine optimization (SEO).

The new staff brings Schaap's team to eight and counting, as he still continues to look for an agile project manager, a new business relations position, and additional Ruby developers.

The Elevator Up offices are located in The Factory, a co-working facility and part of the growing Grand Rapids Technology Hub on 38 West Fulton.
